Getting started in libertarianism is a process that can take time. That’s why we feel it’s important to share our very first experience with you. Yes, there will be curiosity, questions, doubts, joys and more or less positive experiences along the way.
We are, and you will be, constantly evolving!
#Self-discovery
First, know that becoming a libertine involves a development of self-discovery, open communication and respect for yourself and others. We live libertarianism as an exploration of ourselves, of ourselves, and always in a healthy and ethical way.
#Introspection
Starting withintrospection was the basis of our decision to embark on libertarianism. What does that mean? Take the time to think about your desires, your motivations and your personal limits. Make sure it’s a decision you take in good conscience.
If you’re a couple, discuss your desires and fantasies openly with your partner. Make sure you’re on the same wavelength and that your partner is also interested in exploring libertarianism (further reading: Libertarianism, your partner and you).
We began exploring libertinism as a couple, in a libertine club. It goes without saying that every step we took was another step backwards in front of that small, well-sealed wooden door. We finally entered and, to our delight, were greeted with a warm welcome. Benevolence is a must in libertarianism!
#Expérience
During this libertine night, we were amazed by the lush, festive atmosphere, and by the friendly, non-judgmental encounters. Contrary to what you might think, we only indulged together…and yes, libertines don’t necessarily mean swingers (further reading: Libertin mais pas échangiste?).
Finally, we came back to reality on a cloud, a cloud we shared with you on our feedback. Communication is essential, even after every adventure, to maintain trust and harmony in your relationship.
Why do we want to share this very first experience with you? Because, despite the open discussion within our couple, the rules and limits set, a whole personal process worked on for months, we shared certain moments of stress and doubt before crossing that threshold, and even at certain points during the evening; but hand in hand we didn’t back down, and we haven’t regretted it in the slightest.
